KalamaRiver King Salmon Fishing Trips.

Kalama King Salmon Fishing offers a pretty unique fishery as the river itself carries all of the optimum characteristics of the traditional King River; long sweeping canyons providing plenty of room to back troll plugs, along with big deep pockets suitable for back bouncing big globs of cured eggs to eager biters!

Our Kalama River King Salmon Trips primarily run from April 1st to June 1st and we will adjust accordingly based on river conditions and run timing/size. We use all of the traditional techniques to trick these amazing fish into biting; some days we run plugs and others we run bobber and eggs, the condition and timing will really determine our techniques.

Kalama River Silver Salmon Fishing Trips.

Our Silver Salmon season generally kicks off around the beginning of September, or after the first big rainfall. Traditionally the Kalama River gets a decent run of Silvers every year and they are always fun! Most of the silvers average around 6-8 pounds each, but often get into the high teen range!

Silver Salmon fishing is similar to fishing for Kings, using a lot of the same techniques. Silvers are generally a bit more aggressive and we catch them using a variety of techniques, from back bouncing eggs to twitching jigs and everything in between!

Kalama River Steelhead Fishing Trips.

The beginning of December marks the start of our Kalama Hatchery Steelhead Season, which will last about two months before the big Wild Steelhead start to show up and take over. Every year, we catch several Winter Steelhead in the 20 pound range on the Kalama River. If you’re looking for a Kalama Guided Steelhead Trip, look to book a trip in mid-January and the odds of getting into some big fish tips in your favor!

We use all the regular techniques to catch these amazing fish; from small clusters of eggs (when bait is allowed), to floating bobber and jigs… and everything in between.
