Now Booking 2025 World Famous Trophy Trout Fishing Trips!

Most people come to the Kenai River to fish for Kings and Sockeye, but the trophy trout fishing on the middle and upper sections can be spectacular at times. We start targeting trout around the middle of August and will fish for them all the way until the end of our season, which is September 15th. We fish from both Drift Boats and Power Boats and tailor our Fully Guided Trophy Trout Fishing Trips to the river size and flow. Our trips remain flexible so that we are able to provide our clients with the highest chance of success.

All About Your Guided Trophy Trout Fishing Trip…

Location:

  • All of our Kenai Trophy Trout Fishing Trips will take place on the Kenai River, either the Upper Kenai River or the Middle Kenai River. The exact location will depend on several factors; the hungry Trout of the Kenai River generally follow the Salmon Runs. As they begin to move up river and spawn, the Rainbows begin picking off the eggs and flesh of Salmon, so we will follow along with them. Along with following Salmon Runs, we will also keep an eye on River and weather conditions, tailoring the trip as we see fit. Your Guide will give you ample time to plan and prepare for your trip.

Duration:

  • We offer two different trips when it comes to our Trophy Rainbow Trout Fishing Trips; we have half day trips that last anywhere between 4 and 5 hours, and we have full day trips that last between 8 and 9 hours. We also have two different start times for each; 5am for the early risers and 3pm for our sunset watchers that want to enjoy the warmer temps on the water!

The Gear:

  • Because the Kenai River Trout key in on the Salmon Runs, we generally float the River with our fly rods and try to mimic what the fish are eating at the time; part of the season the Rainbow Trout will really key in on the Spawning Salmon and gobble up their eggs as they float down the river and other times, we will chase them using flesh flies as the carcasses of the spawned salmon being breaking up and floating down river. If fly fishing isn’t your thing, we can chase them using smaller spinners, bobber and jigs, and many other smaller presentations!

After The Catch:

  • At the end of the day, we clean and filet your fish and prepare it for your travel back to your hotel room, or home. We do not vacuum pack fish, but we do partner with a few of the processors in town and can point you in the right direction! Regardless, we will make sure you’re taken care of and your fish is properly handled so that you are able to enjoy it!

2025 Rates:

  • Our Half Day Trips run $250.00 per person, for a 4 hour trip. (3 People max)
  • Our Full Day Trips run $300.00 per person, for an 8 hour trip. (3 People max)
