How to get to the Kenai
How To Get here.
There are really just two ways to get into the Kenai River & Kasilof River; the first is to fly and the second is to drive.
If you plan to drive into the town of Kenai & Soldotna, the easiest way is to fly into the Anchorage Airport and rent a car through one of the many Rental Car Companies, which can be found Here. I’d definitely like to point out that during Summer months, rental cars are scarce, so reserve your car as soon as possible! From Anchorage you’ll drive three hours into the town of Soldotna, and for those of you that have never made that drive, it is one of the prettiest drives you’ll ever make! It is not uncommon to see Moose, Bear, Caribou, Bald Eagles and many other creatures! Taking the drive in will also allow you to see a long stretch of the beautiful Kenai River as you drive through the town of Cooper Landing! If you have the time, driving to Kenai is a pretty magical experience!
The second way to get into the Kenai Peninsula is strictly by air. You will initially fly into the Anchorage Airport, and from there you will book a short 50 minute flight from the City of Anchorage to the town of Kenai. There are two different airlines that fly into Kenai that we use; Grant Aviation and Kenai Aviation. All three companies are great, fairly inexpensive and very accommodating!
